Hank & Cupcakes
Flush with simmering sexuality and irresistible dance pulse, Hank & Cupcakes are the coalescence of rock without guitars, pop without synthesizers, everything you would NOT expect them to be. Named in reference to notorious Charles ‘Hank’ Bukowski and one of his lovers ‘Cupcakes’, this Brooklyn based duo by way of Tel Aviv Israel & Melbourne Australia defy modern rock-pop expectations with their full luscious sound, breathtaking stage personas and the brutal honesty with which they play.

Pedal board magician Hank commands an army of pedals with his bass guitar while powerhouse vocalist/drummer Cupcakes dominates the drums standing up (!) while belting out emotive and groove filled vocals, making it difficult to believe there are only two people on stage. With a recklessness reminiscent of Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, an early RHCP rawness, a fun-punk Ting Tings vibe and a ‘The Kills’ raw rock sex appeal, Hank & Cupcakes are the embodiment of all of those, creating a new hybrid of music motivated by true freedom and boundless limits.

Hailed by MTV as a “Fresh new artist with an infectious blend of electro pop goodness” by Paste Magazine as “Irresistibly Danceable” and as having a “Funky Fresh Sound” by the New York Post, the powerful duo are now honing their explosive live performances in front of audiences as as they tour the country in support of their third album ‘CHEAP THRILL’
The stir is a hard rock trio hailing from Atlanta, GA. Meshing elements of blues, classic rock, and psychedelic grunge, they have created a dark and angry sounding, melodic rock n roll. Andrew took up playing guitar when he was just 10 years old and has been playing for 12 years now, taking influence from players such as Stone Gossard, Josh Homme, and Slash. McClain has been rocking the drums for the past 6 years with influences such as Dave Grohl, Steven Adler, and his older brother Tanner Hendon, who has been prevalent around the Atlanta music scene, playing drums in bands like Soul Stash and Chelsea Shag. Tanner is also a producer at Madison Records and plays bass for The Stir. The three grew up going to school together from an early age and bonded musically over their obsession for hard rock. As fate would have it, it would not be long before they would start rocking together in the basement. The Stir has now released their first single entitled "Where You're Wrong" to iTunes and Spotify. It is an emotionally driven psychedelic hard rock song that expresses the oddities of the world. The band has been working with Madison Studios out of Atlanta to produce their newest coming singles "Nightshift" and "Legitimate". The three have shared the stage with acts such as Collective Soul, Jeff Carlisi (38. Special), Bad Company, Better Than Ezra, Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow, Don Henley), Mickey Thomas (Jefferson Starship), Richard Smith (Earth, Wind, & Fire), and Jeff Adams (Survivor). The Stir leaves it all out their for you to take so, be ready; The Stir will soon be coming to a city near you.
