A founding member of legendary Atlanta band The Nightporters and Kathleen Turner Overdrive and The Ray City Rollers and others. Guitarist, singer, songwriter Ray Dafrico has been playing original music professionally since 1981 and is now releasing his first solo cd called "Solo Au Go Go" recorded at Fame studios in Muscle Shoals and finished in Atlanta. He has toured, opened for or performed with artist such as The Clash, The Ramones, The Replacements, REM, Bo Diddley. Richard Hell,The English Beat, Joan Jett, Hugh Cornwall, Wierd Al Yankovic, Husker Du, X, Peter Tork, The Lords of The Church and many others.He has also had many of his own projects such as Shades of Shame, Kickstand, Soulfinger & The Shanghai Gesture. In the studio he has worked with Peter Buck (REM), Rob Fraboni (Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, The Band, Beach Boys), Brendan O'Brian (Bruce Springsteen) and Pierre De Beauport (The Rolling Stones). He has also lent his talents playing bass for Michelle Malone's Drag the River, and as a touring guitarist for Chapel Hill's Snatches of Pink.
