Floods suck, and when you lose everything a little support can go a long way. Magnapop's Ruthie Morris gets help tonight from the Indigo Girls' Amy Ray, rarely seen local popsters Warm in the Wake, and the everlasting Tim Lee 3. -James Kelly

According to Ruthie, this flood in her basement was her 'Katrina'. She lost a lot of her musical equipment and recording studio. Jeff and I have known Ruthie for a long time going back to the early 90s. She's good people and when crappy things happen to good people in this city, you do something about it! It was a no brainer really. We looked at each other and knew this show had to come together. I knew bands would jump at the chance to help. Amy Ray got back with me right away. Amy's label Daemon put out the last Magnapop record and thought it would be nice gesture to play and she was there immediately. Warm in the Wakes' singer Chris Rowell has been a fan from back in the day and Tim Lee played in an early version of Magnapop so it's kinda just getting her friends to play and help her get back what she lost. That's it really. - Chris Chandler[more]
