Kyle Sherrill, Stephen Luscre, Mick Mayer and Patrick Mayer make up the entity known as Red Sea. Red Sea's sound has been labeled across the press and growing "blogosphere" as noise/drone pop, progressive noise rock, dream pop, amongst other scrupulous specifications, ever since the debut of their "Weird Problem" EP at the tail end of 2010. Their music combines imagination, juxtaposition, and harmony to compose the whimsical and progressive sound that has become the staple of their musical creations. Influences include groups such as Cocteau Twins, Stereolab, Women, and many others of the past. In Creative Loafing's "Best of Atlanta" judging, Red Sea was awarded the title of "Best Indie Rock Underdogs" for the year of 2011.
